About the Work
Embodiment is the capacity to remain with yourself while life moves through you.
House of Embodiment is a body of developmental, somatic, relational, and energetic work devoted to what becomes possible when we learn not only how to enter the body; but how to remain in relationship with ourselves from within it.
This work is not about becoming more spiritual.
It is not about endlessly healing yourself.
And it is not about having bigger emotional or energetic experiences.
It is about developing the inner capacities that allow you to feel without disappearing, receive without bracing, choose without yourself, love without losing yourself, speak what is true, see clearly, and eventually allow what is yours to move through you in service to something larger.
This is the work of embodiment.
What is Embodiment
Being aware of your body and being embodied are not always the same thing.
- You can feel sensation and still leave yourself when something becomes uncomfortable.
- You can understand your patterns and still be unable to choose differently when they are activated.
- You can be vulnerable and emotionally expressive while certain forms of intimacy remain difficult to receive.
- You can have powerful spiritual experiences while struggling to stay rooted inside ordinary human life.
For me, embodiment asks a different question:
“What am I actually capable of remaining present for?”
- Can I stay with myself when I am uncomfortable?
- Can I feel what is here without immediately suppressing it, explaining it, fixing it, or becoming consumed by it?
- Can I hear what I know?
- Can I make a choice from that knowing?
- Can I remain open in relationship without abandoning myself?
- Can I allow truth to move through my voice?
- Can I see what is happening clearly?
- Can I surrender without disappearing?
Embodiment becomes visible through capacity.
And capacity is developed through relationship with what once caused us to leave ourselves.
The Framework
The Gates of Embodiment
The work inside House of Embodiment moves through a developmental architecture I call the Gates of Embodiment.
Each Gate represents more than an energetic center. It represents a developmental threshold.
A place where we begin to discover:
“What can I currently remain in relationship with; and where do I still leave myself?”
The Gates give us the architecture. The capacities reveal what is becoming possible.
And life becomes the place where embodiment is ultimately practiced.
We watch how it lives:
- In your relationships
- In your choices
- In your boundaries
- In your ability to receive
- In your willingness to feel
- In the way you express yourself
- In the responsibility you are able to hold
- In your relationship with intimacy, visibility, work, creation, leadership, and service
The question becomes less “Do I understand this?” and more “Can I live it?”
The Field I Work With
The Primordial Womb Field
The Primordial Womb Field is how I understand the energetic dimension of this work.
I experience it as an original field of holding, gestation, and emergence. A field of deep containment where what has not yet been fully felt, expressed, or embodied can begin to emerge into form.
Primordial speaks to what comes before conditioning, before explanation, before the personality organizes the experience.
Womb speaks to containment, protection, nourishment, transformation, and the place where something can develop without being rushed into form.
Field speaks not only to an inner psychological state, but to a relational and energetic environment that can be entered and responded to.
For me, it is a way of returning to what precedes fragmentation.
